Broker Bulletin: New Fields Being Added to Public Licensee Search

The Licensee Search is a publicly available search feature, accessible through the Commission's website, which allows consumers to check whether particular brokerages or individuals are licensed to trade in real estate in Nova Scotia, protecting the public interest.

Within the next two weeks, the Commission's public Licensee Search will be updated to include new fields, providing additional information to the public. These changes are designed to enhance transparency. When searching for a licensee, consumers will see:
  • The agency model practiced by the brokerage
  • The broker's email address
The Commission asks brokers to please log in to the Licensee Portal (the database used for renewals, etc.) to confirm that the email address listed in their contact info is a current, active email as that email address will be the one visible to the public in the Licensee Search. If you have recently changed your email address, please email the Commission's Licensing Officer, Pam Crane, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your updated information.
