2018 Mandatory Forms Update course
Advertising, Promoting & Branding
Meet the Compliance Team

IMPORTANT
The course booklet for the 2018 Mandatory Forms Update course is available this Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, on the NSREC website.

The course is four (4) hours in length. In addition to the booklet, an appendix will also be available on the NSREC website.

The course booklet is a detailed, step-by-step guide of the changes to each individual form. We recommend that you print the booklet and bring it with you when you attend the course so you are able to make detailed notes.

The appendix includes the 14 watermark forms that will be covered in the course. Be advised that licensees will only be provided with a hard copy of the appendix (the watermark forms) on the day of the course.

On December 16, 2017, the NSREC released a bulletin that explained the reasoning behind the course. Some licensees are exempt from taking the course. To view the bulletin, click here.

Licensees required to take the 2018 Mandatory Forms Update course must contact NSAR to register. Registration is available via the NSAR dashboard. A complete list of course dates can be viewed here.

Advertising, Promoting & Branding
Electronic media platforms, such as social media and websites, are a great way to build your brand. However, it is important to comply with the Commission's advertising requirements when doing so.

When advertising on any media platform, licensees must include the full licensed brokerage name, per the Nova Scotia Real Estate Trading Act, section 28.
