UPDATED: Office Closed For Licensing Exams

The Commission office will be closed for licensing exams on August 7th, 21st and 28th. Staff will be working remotely.

The Commission has recently added the 28th as an additional exam date.

Online Licensing Renewals Open Monday, August 10th

The Commission launched a new licence database in November 2018. One of the features of the new database is a user-friendly, self-service approach to licence renewals.

Brokers will be responsible for renewing the brokerage licence, audit fees, any branch office licences, their broker licence, and, if applicable, their approved sales corporation licence. All other licensees will be responsible for renewing their real estate licence and, if applicable, their approved sales corporation licence.

Brokers are able to look up their own licensees to confirm they have renewed their licence.

A licence renewal resource page has been created to provide licensees with video tutorials, a user manual, and important information about payment methods and deadlines. Click HERE to view these resources.

Important Renewal Dates

August 10—Licensees will receive a licence renewal invoice on August 10th by email. If you do not receive an invoice, contact the Commission.

September 30—Licensees who have not renewed their licence by September 30th will have their licences terminated effective October 1st and must immediately cease all trading activities.

Renewal Payment Options

Pay by credit card—use a credit card to pay online
Pay by cheque—mail a cheque to the Commission office

The payment page for online renewals will show 'cash' and 'debit' as options, however these will not be allowed as payment methods this year.

If you pay by cheque, you will have to wait until your payment is received and processed by the Commission to complete your renewal.

First-time Salespersons

As a result of the licence renewal deferral, the Board decided that any first-time salesperson that licenses between July 1st and September 30th of this year will not have to renew their license in September. They will resume the regular renewal schedule in May-June 2021.
